Designer Kay Kwok finished his Master’s degree in Menswear Fashion from the London College of Fashion. In 2012, Kay was named the overall winner of Mittelmoda The Fashion Award, becoming the first Chinese winner in the award’s 20-year history.
His futuristic aesthetic and experimental spirit led to the launch of his eponymous label Kay Kwok in 2013. Kay was the first Hong Kong menswear designer to showcase at London Fashion Week, his debut collection, earned accolades from famed New York Times fashion editor Suzy Menkes.
Kay launched his ‘Phygital’ fashion brand in 2022 at London Fashion Week. Alongside his fashion design accomplishments, Kay’s distinctive design point of view and talent for costume design have seen him collaborate with international brands, artists and musicians, including Sony, Nike, Dormeuil, Beyoncé, Bjork, Aaron Kwok, Karen Mok, Coco Lee, Joey Yung and Muse.
Kay is the first Hong Kong designer being invited by Beyoncé team for designing custom-made looks for her world tour <Renaissance> 2024.
